The Color Purple

If you haven't seen the Broadway production of The Color Purple rush to the Broward Center of Performing Arts and buy a ticket. It's the second time I've seen the show and even though I loved it the first time, I enjoyed it better this time. The show is powerful and full of energetic performances but also a tearjerker so take plenty of Kleenex but don't miss it.

Another Week Neglecting the Blog

Yes, it was one of those weeks. A great week, none the less, but busy enough that I neglected to write in this blog. This week I went to see productions of Mamma Mia!, Miss Saigon, the Cuban timba group Tiempo Libre, and movie screenings of the films The Runaways, and The Jones. The beautiful weather in Miami returned and I was able to sneak in a few short visits to the beach but didn't find time to do laundry (which now has become an emergency chore). It was also a week of writing, editing, compiling information, and checking data for MiamiArtZine. It was also a week of working two freelance jobs away from home so on several occasions I rushed home arriving just in time to change clothes so I could make it to the gym in time for class. It was a wonderful week. I will not complain of not having enough time to do what I want and need to do. I feel I can only complain when I have time with nothing to do. My days have been full and I have no complaints. It is up to me to use the time wisely and I'm learning. Today was indeed a beautiful day in Miami. Tomorrow will be another. HAPPY EASTER.
